Jacuzzi natural pool located in Saturnia, Itly is a spa town in Tuscany in north-central Italy that has been inhabited since ancient times. It is a frazione of the comune of Manciano, in the province of Grosseto. Famous for the homonym spa. It lies about 23 miles northeast of Orbetello and the coast. Near the village, 800 litres per second of sulphurous water at 37 °C gushes over a waterfall and down into a cascade of natural pools formed by the deposition of calcareous rock from evaporation of the water.
Hot water springs from a volcanic crater gushes from deep down in the earth at an unbelievable rate of 800 gallons per second and then flows along a natural stream until drop as a waterfall, known as the Cascate del Mulino.
Thoroughly enjoyable the Spas of Saturnia. you can spent a couple of hours enjoying the therapeutic waters of the pools, and soaking up some sun of 20-minute soak in the pool. you will feel good to skin. Just remember to take, or purchase, some bath wash for your shower afterwards. The water has a sulphur smell, but is not overwhelming.
With no change rooms, limited signage and a lone van selling ice-creams and cool drinks, this is as uncommercialised as can be. Lean back and enjoy the warming spa waters of this offbeat wonder of the world in much the same way as historic documents show that the Etruscans, Romans and Italians have done for over two millennia. And maybe like these predecessors, the memories will stay for a day or two as the sulphurous smell lingers despite any efforts to wash it off.
